DESCRIPTION:This is the Illinois Concealed Carry Permit RENEWAL class.  This class is required every 5 years to renew your Illinois permit. This is a 4 hour class that includes a classroom review of the Federal and Illinois gun laws including FOID\, transportation\, and the carry law. We will shoot a re-qualification for the Illinois permit that will be the same as your original qualification. 30 rounds with 10 being fired from 5\, 7\, and 10 yards. You must score a minimum of 70% to qualify. We will also cover use of force and gun safety. In this class we will discuss the concealed carry lifestyle and help you with any issues that you may have run into so we can help make it more comfortable and practical for your everyday life. DESCRIPTION:Teaches the basic knowledge\, skills\, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. \nThis is an 8+ hour course.  Students will shoot at least 50 rounds of ammunition. \nIt includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.  Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position\, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development.  Students will take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Examination\, and will receive a course completion certificate. \nWe use this course as the first 8 hours of training towards the 16 hours required to obtain your Illinois Concealed Carry permit.  This is an outstanding course for beginners as well as\nseasoned shooters – all of our students are impressed by all there is to learn in this course.  Completion of this course also qualifies you to apply for a Florida Concealed Carry Permit

SUMMARY:May 9\, 2026 Illinois Concealed Carry
DESCRIPTION:This is the final 8 hours of training you need to complete your 16 hours of training required for an Illinois Concealed Carry Permit.  Students will shoot a minimum of 30 rounds\, but should have a minimum of 60 rounds available to account for misfires and 1 reshoot if necessary. \nThe class deals specifically with law.  There is a brief overview of safety and handling\, followed by a detailed look at Federal Firearms Laws\, Illinois FOID Act\, Illinois Transportation Laws\, Illinois Concealed Carry Laws followed by a qualification shooting test at our range.   There is a live fire qualification requirement. \nPrior training is required.  The prior training can be an Honorable Discharge DD214\, Active Military\, the NRA Basic Pistol course\, the NRA Personal Protection In The Home course (and several others – click HERE to see all Illinois State Police acceptable prior training courses).   Completion of this course also qualifies you to apply for a Florida Concealed Carry Permit.
